The Rock, Salt & Light Ministry is located in Central Texas, in the city of Brownwood, and has a rural base of 80 miles in any direction, representing approximately 100,000 people. We own about 9/10ths of an acre with three buildings that can be used for ministry purposes. The majority of services we provide are entertainment, mentoring, listening, praying, teaching, creative works, and tutoring.

Brownwood, Texas, is a college town of about 20,000, of which approximately one third are under the age of 35. Recent demographics show that most people attending church are over 50 years of age, and the youth programs are limited at best. Many churches have been unable to keep up with the changing social and technological culture of our day. This has left a need for a safe, family-friendly place where youth and others can go for interaction. After business hours the only places to go sit down and visit with friends are restaurants and two bars, all of which present problems for families with children, the sale of alcohol, and budget restraints.

The Rock, Salt and Light Ministry is a nonprofit 501c3 charitable organization, with Articles of Incorporation through the State of Texas. The Ministry provides an umbrella over other included venues. The most prominent venue is the Light Club, that provides music and concerts regularly. A separate building will most likely house this venue in the future when another building comes available for educational and service programs.

The RS&L is managed by six Board of Directors, consisting of two pastors, two business leaders, and two well-know music personalities.
